With your WIC benefits, you can buy healthy foods such as:
Milk, cheese, eggs, yogurt, soy, tofu, juice, whole grains, peanut butter, dry beans, peas, or lentils, canned mature beans, breakfast cereal, canned fish, fruits and vegetables, infant fruits and vegetables, infant meats, and infant formula.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is a federal program associated with the WIC program. The FMNP provides benefits to an average of 1.7 million people each year. Most WIC participants receive a cash value benefit (CVB) on the WIC card each month. A limited number of authorized farmers accept the WI​C card using an approved wireless terminal at select WIC authorized farmers’ markets.​​​​​​​​

Summer Lunch Program
Each weekday from the first week in June through the last week of July, all children under the age of 18 can get a free lunch and do a fun activity! Kids do not need to be a WIC participant to participate.

Q: How do I know what benefits I still have on my card?
A: There are several ways you can find your WIC food balance:

Check your CA WIC App – click on ‘Food Balance’ on the home screen

Call us at 209-383-4859 or go into your WIC office for a print out of your benefits

Look at the bottom of the store receipt from the last time you used your WIC Card

Go to the customer service desk at your WIC certified grocery store

Call 1-844-469-3264 or 1-844-4MY-FAMILY (on the back of your WIC Card)
Q: Do I need to download the WIC App?
A: No, you don’t need to download the app but the app has many useful features. On the app, you can look up your next appointment, your WIC food balance, and local grocery stores that take WIC. You can also scan food package barcodes to see if the item is a WIC authorized food. For help downloading/navigating the app, click here.
Q: I don’t have a phone that can download apps, what do I do?
